Demaryius Thomas traded to Houston Texans
The biggest storyline to come out of Broncos Country this week was the somewhat surprising trade deadline move. The Denver Broncos stood pat for the most part, except for trading their franchise wide receiver.
Demaryius Thomas was traded to the Houston Texans on Tuesday. It was such a sad scene to see him leave after being with the Denver Broncos for so long. In hindsight, it makes sense. With the team looking to get younger and hopefully saving some money, it was a good decision. I was hoping Denver would have got more from him. But a fourth round draft pick is not too bad.
I hope that Demaryius Thomas has a very successful career ahead of him. Looking forward to seeing him on Sunday.
Thomas to be honored by Broncos on Sunday
With the Broncos and Texans facing off, it would be a dis-service to not honor Demaryius Thomas for all the hard work he has put in for the franchise since being drafted in 2010. Denver has announced that the team will honor Thomas with a pregame ceremony. The festivities begin right after the National Anthem.
If you are attending the game, you do not want to miss your chance at honoring Demaryius Thomas.
Su’a Cravens to return on Sunday
The long awaited return of safety Su’a Cravens is finally here. After spending the first eight weeks on injured reserve, Cravens will be making his Denver Broncos debut. And it will certainly be needed.
Denver has a tough time covering tight ends. Hopefully Su’a Cravens can help ease the stress of the inside linebackers and cornerbacks that have done it the first eight weeks. Let us hope that Cravens can bring something to the Broncos defense in the last half of the season.
