Week Nine Preview Pt. Two

New York Jets @ Miami

It was only a matter of time before Brock did what Brock does, and that is play incredibly average.
Miami is only favored due to being the home team so I am going with Sam Darnold.

Line: Miami -3

Pick: New York Jets

Pittsburgh @ Baltimore

The Baltimore Ravens defense is tops in the league and they are about to square off against the fourth best offense in the league. Unfortunately for the Steelers, their defense probably can’t contain (and it pains me to say this) Joe Flacco and the eighth-ranked Ravens passing attack.

Line: Baltimore -3

Pick: Baltimore

Atlanta @ Washington

Don’t look now but the Redskins are quietly 5-2 and in first place in the NFC East. Behind the resurgent Adrian Peterson who is fifth in the league in rushing yards and a defense that is sneaky good (fourth least yards per game), Washington will improve to six wins over the limping Atlanta Falcons who can’t get over the injury bug.

Line: Washington -1.5

Pick: Washington

Los Angeles Chargers @ Seattle

Seattle has had a rough start to the season only playing two home games in the first seven games. At home, they are 1-1 with their sole loss coming to the undefeated Los Angeles Rams.

The Chargers, however, are pretty good this year. In fact, their two losses have come to teams that are a combined 15-1 (Rams and Chiefs).

I think Russell Wilson will have some magic in this game though. Despite the Vegas odds, Seattle winning is an upset to me, and I am picking it.

Line: Seattle -1.5

Pick: Seattle

Los Angeles Rams @ New Orleans

The Los Angeles Rams are the darlings of the NFL with a cornucopia of talent and young skill position players not to mention Sean McVay.

Despite all the talent they have on defense, the passing defense is actually in the bottom third of the league, and they are getting ready for one of their toughest matchups against Drew Brees and Michael Thomas. It’s only a matter of time before that catches up to them, and this weekend it will.

Line: New Orleans -1.5

Pick: New Orleans

Green Bay @ New England

A rule of thumb I will live by, don’t pick against Tom Brady after September in Foxborough. He rarely loses. I don’t care if Aaron Rodgers is on the other side.

Line: New England -5.5

Pick: New England

Tennessee @ Dallas

Amari Cooper will be making his premier in the blue and silver against the Tennessee Titans who have struggled mightily on offense.

Fortunately for Marcus Mariota, he is facing the third worst pass defense in the NFL. This is the game he gets it back on track.

Line: Dallas -6.5

Pick: Tennessee
