Denver’s first round pick Bradley Chubb had a spectacular month of October. The NFL has recognized him for it by naming him defensive rookie of the month.

Denver might have had a terrible month of October, going 1-4, but that did not stop Bradley Chubb by putting up spectacular numbers in that month. It has rewarded him with a prestigious honor.

After his phenomenal October, the NFL has recognized Bradley Chubb as the NFL defensive rookie of the month. It has been no secret to Broncos Country that the rookie out of NC State has become a force on the defensive side of the football.

During the month, he has recorded 5.5 sacks, 14 tackles, five tackles for a loss, and a forced fumble. Those numbers for an edge rusher for a month are pretty impressive. As a rookie, Bradley Chubb has played at a big time level.

It looks as of, for the moment, John Elway has made the right choice with the fifth overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. It was important for the team to remain strong on the defensive side of the football.

When Demarcus Ware retired, the team struggled in 2017 to get pressure on the quarterback. Shane Ray missed the majority of the season due to injury.

After the Broncos drafted Chubb, they declined the fifth year option on Shane Ray. They seriously believed the NC State star could be a force in the NFL.

So far, so good. The biggest question will be if he can keep it up and have a solid November. If he can bring those numbers throughout his career, he can continue to win games. And for as long as Von Miller remains with Denver, the Broncos have quite the pass rushing duo that will be impossible to beat.

Congrats to Bradley Chubb on a spectacular October and here is hoping for an even better November and beyond.
