Bradley Roby

Why the Broncos could trade Roby

The Broncos were hoping Bradley Roby could carry the mantle left behind by Aqib Talib, who was also traded earlier this year to the Los Angeles Rams.

Roby has failed to fill Talib’s shoes and has really failed to perform well on any sort of consistent basis.

While Roby is an effective number three cornerback, the Broncos have not gotten anywhere near enough production out of him and at this point, they could move on while also potentially gaining an asset from another team.

Roby isn’t likely to fetch the Broncos much in 2020 compensatory pick value, and the team isn’t likely to try and re-sign him after what they’ve seen this year.

If they can get value for him, it allows them to put Isaac Yiadom out on the field more and let their rookie get some more snaps.

Who could trade for him?

There will always be teams interested in cornerback help, but one team that has specifically been looking for cornerback help and has not been quiet about it is the Philadelphia Eagles.
