Josey Jewell

Injured player: Brandon Marshall (questionable)

The Broncos’ linebacker group was outstanding against the Arizona Cardinals, led by Von Miller and Todd Davis along with rookie Bradley Chubb.

One player whose consistency has been a question mark this season is Brandon Marshall, who has just 32 tackles in seven games and is on pace for his lowest total since his injury-shortened 2016 season when he played just 11 games.

Marshall is officially listed as questionable for this game, and we could see the Broncos try and get Josey Jewell more involved anyway.

Jewell has been one of the Broncos’ most consistent players when on the field defensively, no matter how sparse those opportunities have been.

One reason why Jewell might get some more run in this game? Kareem Hunt. The Broncos will have to use a team approach to stopping Hunt, whether he’s getting the ball as a running back or receiver.

Hunt is one of the NFL’s best players at breaking first contact and gaining yards after the fact, but perhaps Jewell can keep him wrapped up and limit those second-chance yards.
