NFL Picks (Part 2)

Baltimore @ Carolina

The Ravens are four points away from being 6-1 and one of the top teams in the AFC. Meanwhile, Carolina is coming off a great come from behind victory over Philadelphia.

Carolina is 3-0 at home and Baltimore is 2-2 on the road. I’m taking the home team in this one.

Line: Carolina +2

Pick: Carolina

Indianapolis @ Oakland

I’m typically not a fan of teams traveling across the country to play, but the Oakland Raiders are in complete rebuild mode while the Colts are quietly having a good offensive season led by Andrew Luck.

Luck and Ty Hilton are about to have a big day against a struggling Oakland defense.

Line: Oakland +3

Pick: Indianapolis

San Francisco @ Arizona

Do not bet on this game.

But if you do, here is why I think Arizona will win this pick’em. They’ve had extra rest to prepare and extra time to think about how bad they lost on national television Thursday. The 49ers are the best team to get the second win against with CJ Beathard having an up and down season as the fill-in for Jimmy G.

Line: N/A

Pick: Arizona

Green Bay @ Los Angeles Rams

9.5 points is a big spread against Aaron Rodgers, but the Rams are good. Really good.

Line: Los Angeles Rams -9.5

Pick: Rams

New Orleans @ Minnesota

This is my risky pick for the week. Both teams are having an up and down season after their deep playoff runs last year that resulted in the Minnesota Miracle.

My feeling is that Drew Brees and Sean Payton haven’t forgotten about that. Expect this to be a high scoring game with New Orleans coming out on top.

Line: Minnesota -1

Pick: New Orleans

Monday, October 29

New England @ Buffalo

I hate big lines like this but Buffalo is so terrible. Poor Derek Anderson. It’s about to be another long day for the journeyman quarterback.

Line: Buffalo +14

Pick: New England
