NFL Picks (Part 1)

Thursday, October 25

Miami @ Houston

I am surprised Brock Osweiler played good in his second game as a starter, but I am not willing to buy into the Brock-hype train yet. The Texans are beginning to figure things out after an 0-3 start, and I think they will this game, just not by more than a touchdown.

Line: Houston -7.5

Pick: Miami

Sunday, October 28

Philadelphia @ Jacksonville (In London)

Jacksonville is full-blown meltdown mode right now so obviously going across the ocean to play a game on a neutral site against the defending Super Bowl champions won’t help.

Fortunately, the Eagles are struggling a bit themselves and are coming off a disappointing collapse against Carolina. I believe Jacksonville will get back on the right track.

Line: Jacksonville +3

Pick: Jacksonville

New York Jets @ Chicago

Sam Darnold is about to learn just how good Chicago’s defense can be.

Line: Chicago -7

Pick: Chicago

Cleveland @ Pittsburgh

I don’t necessarily think Cleveland will win this game, but they’ve historically kept it close against Pittsburgh when there was a much more significant talent gap. Cleveland is shrinking that gap, and this game will come down to the wire similar to their first game this season, which resulted in a tie.

Line: Pittsburgh -8

Pick: Cleveland

Washington @ New York Giants

The Giants are in full on sell mode as they just sent away former first round pick Eli Apple earlier this week. Eli Manning can’t get to the ball to his numerous weapons, and the Washington Redskins who are quietly in first place in the NFC East will win an easy one.

Line: New York +1

Pick: Washington

Seattle @ Dallas

How much will see Jerry Jones’ new prized receiver Amari Cooper?

Regardless of how much Cooper plays, this is a cross-time zone trip for Seattle and Dallas is 3-0 at home. They will come away with the win here.

Line: Dallas -3

Pick: Dallas

Tampa Bay @ Cincinnati

This is likely to be a high scoring game, so whatever the over is, definitely bet on it.

At the end of the day though, Cincinnati is playing good football even after getting blown out and embarrassed by Kansas City last Sunday. They’ll be looking for revenge against Jameis Winston and the Bucs.

Line: Cincinnati -4.5

Pick: Cincinnati
