Denver Broncos vs Kansas City Chiefs

Denver’s blowout victory over Arizona had a lot of people excited, but I am not ready to buy into it just yet. Yes, the secondary played well but Arizona has one of the worst receiving groups in the NFL and they were facing a rookie quarterback being protected by turnstiles at tackle. They are basically going from the worst offense in the league to the best this week so many questions remain about the nonexistent “No Fly Zone” and Denver’s disastrous run defense.

Last time Denver faced Kansas City, they had them on the ropes, and if it wasn’t for a soft defensive game plan in the fourth quarter or Case Keenum missing a wide open Demaryius Thomas down the sideline, the narrative of this game would be so much different. Unfortunately, the Denver Broncos followed that soul-crushing loss up by getting outplayed by Sam Darnold and the Jets.

Denver had a good game plan the first time against Kansas City, but it will be a lot more difficult to pull off at Arrowhead where the fans are notoriously rowdy and loud. It’ll be crucial for the Denver Broncos to actually rely on the two-headed rushing attack of Philip Lindsay and Royce Freeman so as to keep the defense off the field and limit the amount of throws Case Keenum has to make.

I don’t think Denver will win this game, but I do think they will keep it closer than 10 points.

Line: Kansas City -10
