The Broncos are likely going to get calls on Bradley Roby for a few reasons.

First and foremost, Roby has proven that, at times, he can be a very effective player in this league. He’s been part of some of the best defensive groups in league history and has played his role well.

He’s had a rocky start to the 2018 season, to say the least, but with half of his rookie contract remaining and Isaac Yiadom waiting in the wings, Roby could very well be an attractive trade piece for other teams and for the Broncos to dangle.

There are a number of teams that make sense here, namely the New Orleans Saints and Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles have more draft capital and have generally been the most aggressive team, so perhaps the Saints will outbid a fellow NFC contender for his services.

If one of those two teams comes in with a 3rd round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft for Roby, the Broncos would probably not pass that up, even though that pick will likely be near the bottom of the round.

In this case, the Broncos move up from the 5th round to the 4th round in the 2019 draft and recoup a 3rd rounder in 2020 for Roby.
