New York Jets

The New York Jets have just drafted a quarterback, Sam Darnold out of USC. The team currently has Robby Anderson, Jermaine Kearse, and Quincy Enunwa at receiver.

This could be another case of adding a veteran receiver to help out the young guys—especially the quarterback, who is just 21-years old.

The Jets are projected to have the second-most cap space when the new league year starts in 2019: $106,143,390.

New York has already seen another former Broncos wide receiver—Brandon Marshall, who played for both the Jets and the Giants. Both are reliable targets if they are in the right place.

Whether Thomas would be able to gain chemistry with Darnold, well, we would just have to wait and see about that. But that type of thing would take time.

Being in New York would allow Thomas to pick up endorsement deals, adding onto his money collection while not hurting the team’s salary cap.

It would be a beautiful sight to see Thomas go head-to-head with the Jets’ rival, the New England Patriots, twice a year. Adding Thomas could give New York a legitimate shot at beating New England and possibly taking the division crown from them.

It’s not likely that that would happen, but wouldn’t that be great? I think so.
