Broncos/Cardinals Preview

Thursday, October 18
Denver @ Arizona
This season has been pretty similar to last year’s and it’s frustrating. The Denver Broncos continue to repeat mistakes from last year especially with the run game where the Broncos feature two of the top rookies in the league and one of the best run blocking lines in the league. However, they would rather make sure Case Keenum isn’t worth the $18 million they are paying him this season.

Fortunately, the Broncos are heading to Arizona to a face one of the few teams that look worse than them, the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals have a rookie quarterback taking the snaps (Josh Rosen), and feature one of the league’s offensive lines. Furthermore, their defense, while opportunistic, isn’t very good at stopping people from moving the ball on them.

From media bits this week, you can tell the Denver Broncos players are pissed off, and we know that Vance Joseph is likely coaching for his job this week. If the players truly believe in Joseph, they’ll show it this week instead of laying down another stinker of a performance.

I believe Denver will be able to pull off a win over Arizona on Thursday Night Football. If they don’t, we could be looking at another long losing streak reminiscent of last season as Denver plays Kansas City next week in Kansas City.
Line: Arizona +1.5
Pick: Denver
