2. Todd Davis

I’ve been highly critical of Todd Davis this season, so it’s important to give credit where it’s due.

Davis had an amazing game against the Cardinals.

He got on the board with a couple of tackles for loss in this game, but made an incredible play on an interception he returned for a touchdown to start off the scoring for Denver.

Davis led the Broncos with 10 tackles in this game and helped resuscitate the run defense with a brilliant performance, something he can build on going forward.

Davis and the Broncos’ run defense had allowed more than 500 yards on the ground in the two games prior to this matchup against the always dangerous David Johnson.

It was a team effort, obviously, but Davis deserves a lot of credit for filling gaps, attacking the line of scrimmage, and clearly taking to heart the ‘you have to want to tackle’ comments from Vance Joseph earlier in the week.

It was a short week to get things turned around, but Davis responded in a big way.
