Final Thoughts

The Denver Broncos have a lot of work to do before they are considered a threat in the league. A lot of things need to change.

Despite the positive things that I mentioned, this team is performing far below its usual standard.

Until they start winning and winning on a consistent basis, the Broncos will continue to be looked at as underdogs.

Head coach Vance Joseph confirmed that Case Keenum would still be the quarterback, as the Broncos face the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday Night Football.

The run defense continues to be a huge issue for this team. As long as teams are able to run the football against the Denver defense, opponents will be able to keep the time of possession on their side.

You can’t win ball games if you don’t have the ball.

The Broncos need to look themselves in the mirror and figure out what on earth is going on. Until they do that, wins don’t look very realistic. Unfortunately.

Denver’s next test will be on Thursday night against the Cardinals. Based on the fact that the Cardinals have a star running back in David Johnson, the result will not go in Denver’s favor.

Patience is bound to run out eventually for the people in charge (John Elway and Joe Ellis). At some point, the team needs to look at making bigger changes than head coach Vance Joseph said they would make.

At some point, one of those changes will be Joseph having his head coaching duties removed.

Bill Musgrave would then likely take over as the interim head coach for the remainder of the season. It will be interesting to see which head coaches around the league are let go at the conclusion of the 2018 season.

The future does not look bright for this Denver Broncos team. There are clearly a lot of things that the team needs to do to improve. The teams remaining on the schedule will make for an interesting remainder of a season in which the Broncos could continue to get burned—no, torched—on the ground.

On the offensive side of the ball, unless everybody gets on the same page, I don’t see things panning out the way I thought they would before the start of the 2018 season.
