Bradley Roby
It’s not a stretch to say this game against the Jets was perhaps Bradley Roby’s worst — at any level — ever.
Roby sandwiched a really good game against the Kansas City Chiefs between three really bad games to start the year and then this forgettable performance where he nearly opted not to speak to the media after the game.
On Isaiah Crowell’s 77-yard touchdown run, Roby was in a position to make a tackle to limit the gain to a reasonable 6-8 yards. That obviously did not happen and Roby was actually put on the back end of someone else’s highlight tape, looking completely lost and falling to the ground grasping at air on the Jets’ first big touchdown of the game.
The Jets’ next big touchdown — a long throw from Sam Darnold to Robby Anderson — was also Bradley Roby’s fault. Roby was simply beaten by pure speed down the left sideline as Anderson coasted for an easy 76-yard score.
Before the first half was out, Roby played a little bit tighter coverage but still gave up a 35-yard touchdown to Anderson with just over a minute remaining in the half.
Roby allowed three catches in this game, all of which went for either a first down or a touchdown. It was a horrendous performance and the fourth so far this season that Roby is not going to want on his free agent resumé at the end of the year.
