Jaguars @ Chiefs

The Jacksonville Jaguars head to Arrowhead on Sunday to face quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his undefeated Kansas City Chiefs. Kansas City will bring firepower into this game from their offense. Jacksonville will bring stellar play from their defense.

The Chiefs’ defense is not very good. The Jaguars offense is not terrible, but it is not great. Jacksonville will be without star running back Leonard Fournette, a huge loss. However, they still have TJ Yeldon.

KC’s offense vs Jacksonville’s defense is going to be my favorite matchup of this game. Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey made headlines by trash talking Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill earlier this week.

The Denver Broncos almost defeated the Chiefs on Monday Night Football last week. I believe that Denver helped expose some weaknesses in the Chiefs, therefore helping other teams figure Kansas City out.

In week five, the 4-0 Chiefs will take on the 3-1 Jags at Arrowhead Stadium. This is going to be an incredible game featuring the league’s top scoring offense in Kansas City vs Jacksonville’s top scoring defense.

For this morning game, the Chiefs are looking to keep their unbeaten record untarnished against a formidable foe. Personally, I don’t see the Chiefs defense being able to hold the Jags enough for their young QB, Patrick Mahomes, to pull out his fifth straight win on the year.

The Jaguars boast an incredible secondary, and last week, Mahomes struggled against a top rated defense (until the fourth quarter). That being said, the Jags have to play a near perfect game on defense to give themselves a shot.

In the first three weeks of the season, the Chiefs scored touchdowns on each of their first drives, giving them early leads, and forcing their opponents to work out of a hole.

A bend-but-don’t-break mentality needs to be in the heads of the Jacksonville defense in hopes of giving their offense a chance to get out in front early. A key matchup will be Jacksonville cornerback Jalen Ramsey lining up against KC speedster Tyreek Hill. I’m taking the Jags in this one.
