Key Matchups

Case Keenum vs. Jets Secondary

Last week, I mentioned Keenum against the Chiefs secondary thinking he will do some damage. He was not too bad as he recorded 245 yards through the air. He did have a tough time with some of his throws. His one interception was on a solid play by Kansas City.

I am looking for him to bounce back on Sunday against a Jets secondary that is a bit banged up. As mentioned earlier, Trumaine Johnson is out and Marcus Maye will be at less than 100 percent if he can go at all.

Broncos pass rush vs. Sam Darnold

This could be a version of welcome to the NFL, rookie. After a bad performance against the Chiefs, Von Miller and the rest of the pass rush want to put that game behind them and have a bounce back performance. This could be the game to do it. If the pass rush can rattle Sam Darnold and force him into mistakes, it will be a solid game for them.

Expect the Broncos to get to Darnold at least twice in this game. But I would not be surprised if there was more.

X-Factor

Chris Harris Jr.

With the pass rush responsible for trying to rattle Sam Darnold, Chris Harris Jr. will have to take any chances he can get to intercept a pass from the rookie should a pass come his way.

With how the secondary has performed for the Denver Broncos, they could really use this game. With the Jets not having many weapons in the passing game, Chris Harris will likely be matched up against Quincy Enunwa.

This would be a good game for Chris Harris Jr. to record his first interception of the season.
