Denver Broncos: Rookie report card through four weeks of 2018
Isaac Yiadom, CB
Key Stats: Four receptions allowed in 30 coverage snaps (68 yards)
Isaac Yiadom’s welcome to the NFL moments weren’t pretty.
In the Broncos’ first game of the 2018 preseason, Yiadom was out with the starting defense and covering Stefon Diggs of the Minnesota Vikings. That proved to be a difficult assignment for the 2015 Broncos when Diggs was a rookie with the Vikings and he was being covered primarily by Aqib Talib.
On the first defensive series of his career, he gave up a touchdown to Diggs. In the regular season opener, Yiadom wasn’t even on the active gameday roster.
Since then, he has played, and despite giving up a 44-yard bomb to John Brown of the Ravens, he’s played quite well. Outside of that one huge play (where he wasn’t in terrible position), Yiadom has given up just 24 yards in 29 other coverage snaps.
He hasn’t played much, but he’s been lights out when on the field since that long reception to Brown.
