The Denver Broncos have an ace in the hole in special teamer Joseph Jones.

They brought Jones over in 2017 from the Seattle Seahawks’ practice squad, and Jones has developed into the team’s new special teams ace.

He blocked a punt against the Baltimore Ravens in week three and continued his strong special teams play against the Chiefs with yet another tackle.

He now has five special teams tackles on the season, tied for the second-most special teams stops in the NFL.

Among the full-time special teams players in the NFL, Jones has the highest grade in the league according to Pro Football Focus (90.3).

The special teams, in general, deserves some recognition under the direction of Tom McMahon, who has been stellar in his role as coordinator of that group. McMahon’s unit has done their part to help the Broncos win games, and it really feels like everyone except Marquette King is performing at a high level in all phases of special teams.
