Third Quarter

The Denver Broncos got the football to start the second half. It turns out they were able to take the momentum from the defensive score and get a touchdown of their own. With the help of some precise passing from Case Keenum, the Broncos marched down the field.

It would be capped off by a Keenum to Demaryius Thomas connection. It was the perfect throw to where only Thomas could get it. That would extend the lead to 24-9. On the Chiefs first possession of the second half, Mahomes wanted to try the deep ball again. This time to Travis Kelce. However, Darian Stewart would play the ball perfectly and jumped in front of Kelce for the interception.

So far this season, Stewart has recorded an interception in three of the four games. It is nice to see him having a solid play. But the interception would not result in points as Keenum made a bad read. (I honestly made the bad read) He would throw deep to Sanders, but was intercepted.

However, Kansas City would give the football right back. Will Parks once again made a huge play. He jumped the route of Tyreek Hill and was given a gift by Patrick Mahomes. He would return the interception to the Kansas City five yard line. From there, Royce Freeman made quick work and scored on the following play.

That would give the Broncos a commanding 31-9 lead. Not much happened after that and the Broncos would go into the final frame with the mentioned score. Denver would have had another touchdown on an Adam Jones fumble return. But the play was reviewed and determined that the knee hit the ground before the ball came loose. Which seemed really close.
