Courtland Sutton, WR

The Broncos are slowly but surely making sure Courtland Sutton gets more involved in the passing game offensively.

He was targeted three times against the Ravens and made two really big plays for first downs, racking up 37 yards on his two catches. He had 21 yards on one catch, and 16 on another. Unfortunately, Sutton also had a huge drop in this game and contributed to the comedy of errors that was the Broncos’ offense.

Sutton’s drop was really the only asterisk on an otherwise good game from him. The Broncos asked him to do a lot in the running game in this one, and he delivered with an excellent performance in that regard.

The Broncos obviously need to work Sutton into the gameplan more and they will have a chance to do so against one of the league’s worst pass defenses in the Kansas City Chiefs. If ever there was an opportunity to plan for Sutton’s big breakout game, it could be week four on Monday Night Football.

Overall, the dropped pass by Sutton brings his grade down but he made a couple of solid plays.
