Special Teams

Say what you want about Vance Joseph, but his decision to fire Brock Olivo and hire Tom McMahon was one of the shrewdest moves of the offseason.

McMahon has made a massive difference in the first three weeks of the season, and if anyone gets a game ball in a loss, it should be him.

Denver blocked a punt after the Ravens’ first offensive possession and blocked another field goal before halftime. They blocked an extra point against the Raiders and continue to look really solid in the return game (at least in terms of just catching the ball).

The Broncos did a good job on their coverage units as well, limiting the Ravens on their kick and punt returns.

Denver played a good game on special teams in this one and they continue to look like one of the best units in pro football one year after looking like one of the league’s worst.
