Statistical Analysis

Because of Keenum’s interceptions, the Broncos are currently -1 in turnover ratio, making them 21st in the NFL. The Ravens are even worse than that at -2, tying them for 25th in the NFL.

Beyond this, the Ravens’ stats are really good. They average 35 points per game, making them third in the NFL. They are eighth in yards per game at 397 yards gained per contest and 7th in passing at 305.5 yards per game.

Signal-caller Joe Flacco has 612 passing yards to start the season and has completed 64 percent of his passes with 5 yards and two interceptions in 2018.

With the Ravens having drafted Flacco’s heir apparent, Lamar Jackson, this past April, he has a fire lit under him.

With the Ravens’ passing offense on fire, blog boss Sayre Bedinger has the onus upon the Broncos’ cornerbacks (all of them) to play better than they have this season in week three.

The same could be said for Broncos receiver Emmanuel Sanders as he has 14 receptions for 231 yards and a score on the season. He has been Keenum’s favorite target and is dangerous in the slot, per my illustrious colleague Cameron Parker.

The key stat to me for this one is the Broncos are tied for 5th in the NFL in sacks per game at 7. Star linebacker Von Miller has four of them on the season. The Ravens, in turn, are tied for 8th in the NFL in sacks allowed at six.

Whoever wins this crucial battle will likely win the game. With the Broncos having changed their travel methodology from last season, Joseph seems to have eradicated the distraction that existed last season. Time will tell.

Thus far, the Vegas oddsmakers are not impressed with the Broncos as across the board, the Ravens are clear 5-point favorites, per Oddsshark.com.
