Damien Harris, RB, Alabama

This would be getting greedy, as the Broncos have a two-headed monster at the running back position right now in Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman that looks like it will shape the team’s offensive identity going forward.

But for the moment, I’m going to be a bit greedy.

As the Broncos appear to really have something going in the running game as an area of major strength, they could add to that strength by bringing in a dynamic player like Alabama’s Damien Harris.

After watching Harris in his junior season with the Crimson Tide, I was convinced that no running back was more pro-ready in all of college football. He decided to return to school for another year to be Alabama’s offensive leader and win yet another title, a decision that surprised just about everybody back in January.

Harris has been a lock for over seven yards per carry over the past three seasons, and does an excellent job on third downs as a receiver but primarily in pass protection, where he would have been the best in last year’s class.

If Harris is available on day two of the 2019 NFL Draft, the Broncos could add him to their already dangerous plethora of weapons on that side of the ball.

Watch some of Harris’ highlights here.
