The Denver Broncos look vastly improved this season, but there will be plenty of roster tinkering in the 2019 NFL Draft. Here are players to watch for.

The Denver Broncos made some huge strides in terms of building their team for the future in the 2018 offseason, but John Elway’s work as a general manager is never done.

Elway and company have likely already been scouting the 2018 college football season and some of the top prospects eligible for the 2019 NFL Draft. The Broncos found great success with players who had a lot of experience at the collegiate level in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Will they follow a similar pattern in the 2019 NFL Draft?

At this point, it’s hard to imagine the Broncos won’t at least put some emphasis on how experienced these players are coming out versus just having the talent. College experience doesn’t always translate to NFL readiness, but the Broncos’ stellar 2018 rookie class is proving that the right combination of talent, intangibles, and college experience can help the team right away.

What positions will the Broncos have to emphasize in the 2019 NFL Draft? It’s way too early to tell at this point, but one of the team’s clearest weaknesses is at the cornerback position, and I think unless they sign someone in free agency, you can pencil that position in for the first two or three rounds again.

Aside from cornerback, the Broncos have a number of important expiring contracts on the defensive line, and they will have some tough roster decisions to make at wide receiver and tight end.

Here are three players who could be on the Broncos’ radar for the 2019 NFL Draft.
