The Broncos have been fairly impressive so far this season. There have been real bright spots on the team, specifically the star local kid, running back Phillip Lindsay.

Lindsay has proven that he was severely overlooked by NFL teams. While twenty running backs were selected in this year’s draft, including two by Denver, Lindsay sat at home hoping for a team to call after the draft to offer him a contract.

He has rushed for 178 yards on 29 carries in two games this season. His contributions on special teams makes him even more, you guessed it, special.

On the Ravens’ side, they have a plethora of notable wide receivers for quarterback Joe Flacco to throw to. Among the pass catchers are: Michael Crabtree, Willie Snead IV, and John Brown.

Then there’s Lamar Jackson, the former Louisville quarterback who can be a threat in the pass game as well as the run game. Those players could be a problem for the Broncos, but not enough to defeat the orange and blue.

The Broncos head into week 3 at 2-0 for the sixth consecutive year, and look to silence the whispers. They are heading to Baltimore to face a 1-1 Ravens squad that has posted two completely different performances.

Against the Bills, the Ravens looked like a team to be feared, while, despite the score, were controlled in week 2 against the Bengals.

I don’t have a good feel of the Ravens squad yet, but they always play Denver well. Denver had a shaky week two. With a complete lack of first half offense, they were forced to make a big comeback. The second half offense had a sense of urgency and fire to it that gives me hope.

As long as our defense keeps the Ravens in check early, minimizing those big plays, Denver will come out on top. I’m taking Denver in this one. They have more offensive power, a stout defense, and a solid special teams crew.
