49ers @ Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs have started the season 2-0, after convincing wins against the Chargers and the Steelers. Last week vs Pittsburgh, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw six touchdowns.
That’s one more touchdown than he had incompletions, as he finished the game 23/28 for 326 yards. He didn’t throw a pick in the game.
He clearly is the face of Chiefs Kingdom and could soon prove to be the face of the entire league.
An interesting matchup will be the Chiefs running backs vs the 49ers defense. Last week, San Francisco allowed 98 yards on the ground to the Detroit Lions. Their leading rusher in the game was running back Kerryon Johnson with 43 yards on eight carries.
With Mahomes at quarterback, the Chiefs’ rushing attack is even more of a threat than the 49ers’, especially with Jerick McKinnon tearing his ACL in a practice prior to week one.
So far in this young season, the Chiefs have not scored less than 35 points in either of their games. I expect the trend to continue on Sunday against the 49ers and the game won’t be close.

The 2-0 Chiefs will be on the road this week, taking on the 1-1 San Francisco 49ers. This in my mind is a trap game for the red hot Chiefs.
They are thriving under their young signal-caller, Patrick Mahomes, who has ten touchdowns on the season already. I say this is a trap game because the Chiefs absolutely should win this game, but the 49ers have everything in the tool box to make that extremely difficult.
The Chiefs defense let up huge numbers in week two against the Steelers. Getting an early lead to get momentum will be key for KC.
Staying in front will allow them to control the pace of the game without letting the 49ers offense to play slower than the high speed of the Chiefs offense.
If everything goes well, Kansas City will be sitting pretty at 3-0.
