The Denver Broncos got a big divisional win over the Raiders in week two. How did the rest of the AFC West fare in week two action?

The Denver Broncos got their first divisional win of the young 2018 season over the Oakland Raiders and new head coach Jon Gruden. The Chiefs and Chargers also added to the win column in week two, but how did each team look?

Let’s take a look at each team’s performance and where they rank in the division after a couple of weeks of play.

Through two games, the Raiders have been able to get off to a good-looking start, but have been unable to finish.

The Raiders took a 12-0 lead into halftime against the Denver Broncos, and despite allowing a touchdown right after halftime to the Broncos, they answered right back with a nice touchdown drive of their own.

After that, the Raiders allowed 13 unanswered points to end the game, and the Broncos were able to finish off a great comeback with a field goal leaving just six seconds on the game clock.

What are the biggest issues with the Raiders right now? It all starts with the pass rush, which makes the decision to trade Khalil Mack look even more foolish, as he’s playing at an incredibly high level for the Chicago Bears right now.

The Raiders aren’t getting big plays from their running game, and despite an extremely high completion rate from Derek Carr, they failed on far too many third-down plays offensively against the Broncos.

If the Raiders had any chance of competing this season, they needed to get off to a bit of a hot start, as the lack of pass rush depth is going to absolutely kill them throughout the season.
