Phillip Lindsay, RB

Phillip Lindsay was nominated for NFL rookie of the week after his week one performance against the Seattle Seahawks and was nominated for the same award in week two after arguably a better performance.

He is third in the NFL in rushing yards through two games. He picked up his first 100-yard rushing game in week two and became the first undrafted rookie to ever eclipse 100 yards from scrimmage in his first two NFL games.

Lindsay is listed as the third running back on Denver’s depth chart, but he’s been a focal point of the offense.

There’s really nothing Lindsay can do better at this point, but the Broncos could give him more responsibility. He is a living example of the pipe dream practice squad players NFL fan bases fawn over when they show great potential in camp and the preseason.

Lindsay is exceeding even the biggest Colorado Buffaloes fan’s loftiest dreams through two games and has become a star rather quickly. He was given more responsibility as a running back against the Raiders, but had only one reception. Imagine if this guy were to get 20 touches a game.
