Philadelphia Eagles @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

This is a scary game for the Eagles. They haven’t looked that great throughout the preseason and didn’t look that great on Thursday night either.

Meanwhile, the Buccaneers came out firing in their season opener. One sore spot to that game is their defense continually got torched while playing a zone-blitz concept throughout.

This is my sleeper pick for sure. Go Bucs!

Line: Philadelphia -3

Pick: Buccaneers

Indianapolis Colts @ Washington Redskins

The Colts lost their opener to a Bengals team that isn’t getting much love, but at least Andrew Luck is back.

The Redskins faced a similar level of competition and they rolled to an easy win over the Cardinals with the help of the ageless Adrian Peterson. The Redskins are the better team here and they will show that on Sunday.

Line: Washington -5.5

Pick: Washington

Kansas City Chiefs @ Pittsburgh Steelers

I am truly worried about facing the Chiefs this season. Mahomes looked like the best version we thought he could be and Tyreke Hill is not slowing down from his breakout season.

He single-handedly crushed many opposing fantasy owners’ hopes this week, including mine.

The Steelers, meanwhile, are coming off a weird tie against the Browns. It’s tough going to Pittsburgh though.

Line: Pittsburgh -4

Pick: Pittsburgh

Arizona Cardinals @ Los Angeles Rams

The Arizona Cardinals have built up a reputation the past few seasons of being a good football team. Unfortunately, these Cardinals are not those Cardinals. The Rams, however, looked really good in their first game of the season taking on Jon Gruden’s retirement home of a team.

Sam Bradford didn’t look great in his debut, and after this blowout, I think it may be the start of the Josh Rosen era.

Line: Rams -13

Pick: Rams

Detroit Lions @ San Francisco 49ers

The Lions looked atrocious against the New York Jets on Monday night. Not a good start for Matt Patricia. On the flip side, the 49ers franchise quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo also appeared out of sorts.

Eastern time zone teams traveling to the west coast is never good and Kyle Shannahan will have his team well oiled for Sunday.

Line: 49ers -6.5

Pick: 49ers

New England Patriots @ Jacksonville Jaguars

You never want to bet against the Patriots, unless it’s early in the season where they seem to annually give people a scare. Is Tom Brady too old? Is Belichick washed up? These questions always seem to pop up before the Patriots kick it into gear.

The young, tenacious Jaguars defense will squash New England this week.

Line: New England -1

Pick: Jacksonville

New York Giants @ Dallas Cowboys

Both of these teams are coming off losses in week one. The difference is the Giants were facing a stifling defense, while the Cowboys just looked flat and weak. The Giants explosive offense will come to life and leave Dallas staring at an 0-2 hole.

Line: Dallas -3

Pick: Giants

Monday, September 17

Seattle Seahawks @ Chicago Bears

This is the battle of two teams trending in the opposite direction. The Seahawks appear weakened with the loss of key contributors on defense and the lack of resemblance of an offensive line.

Meanwhile, the Bears have a potential franchise quarterback and a franchise player on the defensive side in Khalil Mack who had himself one heck of an opening game last week.

Line: Chicago -3

Pick: Chicago
