Devontae Booker, RB

Devontae Booker is pretty clearly the Broncos’ RB3 at the moment behind Royce Freeman and Phillip Lindsay, but if anything happens to either of those guys, he’s going to be thrust into a more prominent role.

The Broncos have been selling Booker as a starting-caliber back for three years now. He was considered a major steal in the 2016 NFL Draft. There has to be something there that sets him apart from other guys, but we’re just not seeing it.

Booker allowed a pressure on one of his two pass protection attempts and touched the ball just four times on 19 plays.

He had four yards on two carries and 11 yards on two receptions.

The Broncos did not need him to be great in this game but he got some important snaps and opportunities and didn’t make much happen after contact or after the catch.

Booker has to be better going forward and become an asset in this offense.
