Todd Davis, LB

Todd Davis is one of the Broncos’ most consistent and efficient tacklers when he’s on the field, which is usually for about 55-60 percent of the game. As a matter of fact, he had eight tackles on just 37 snaps in this one.

But where Davis needs to be better is in coverage. This is not news to Denver Broncos fans.

He allowed two receptions on four targets, and both plays were big chunk plays for the Seahawks. One was a 24-yard catch, and another went for 15 yards.

When Todd Davis is on the field, like it or not, teams are going to try and exploit him. He’s not a man cover guy so the Broncos either need to find ways to get him help or they need to perhaps utilize him less, even though he helps this team maintain its status as one of the best versus the run in all of the NFL.

There’s some give-and-take here with Davis, but if he can at least limit those chunk plays in coverage, it would be a huge boost to Denver’s defense.
