The Denver Broncos have taken the lead going into the first half. I provide my first half reactions to the 2018 season opener.

While it was not a strong start from the Denver Broncos, it is clear as day at how much the offense has improved from the last three seasons. Denver is taking a 17-10 lead into the half.

The one player on the offense that has made them light years better from last season is Phillip Lindsay. He certainly has come out to ball. Every time he has touched the football, he has proven how valuable he is to the Broncos offense.

Shortly after a Case Keenum interception led to a Seattle touchdown, the Broncos went down the field and Lindsay answered the touchdown with his first career NFL touchdown. He took the pass from the backfield and made a few moves and scored rather easily.

That touchdown would tie the game. It is nice to see the undrafted rookie making some moves. From there it went back and forth for a bit. But another player that has made an impact on the offense is Emmanuel Sanders.

Having a quarterback that can get the ball to the wide receivers has proven to really help the offense. Sanders has balled out as well. He has already recorded seven catches for 115 yards, including an impressive 43-yard touchdown reception in which he took the pass and did the rest of the work.

So far, minus two interceptions from Case Keenum, the Broncos offense has looked impressive. Defense could perform better when it comes to the pass. But they have come up big when needed. This includes Von Miller’s two sacks. Bradley Chubb recorded his first sack as well. Although it was only half of one.

Shaq Barrett got in the sack party by recording one on Russell Wilson to close out the half. And it was a big one.

The Seattle Seahawks will get the football to start the second half. Let’s hope they can keep it up! Go Broncos.
