The Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks open up against each other. I chat with Lee Vowell over at 12th Man Rising to get his takes on the Seahawks.

Two former AFC West rivals and the representatives in Super Bowl 48 face off on a late Sunday afternoon. The Denver Broncos will be looking to start their season on a high note as they welcome the Seattle Seahawks to town.

With the Seahawks moving to the NFC West, these two teams only face each other every four years, unless they meet again on the big stage. The last two games have not gone well for the Denver Broncos. A nightmare Superbowl followed by a comeback that turned into heartbreak in overtime.

The Broncos have been outscored 69-28 in the last two meetings. For this contest, I do not expect there to be a lot of scoring. Case Keenum will be getting his feet wet and the chemistry will take time.

Denver’s defense should be able to contain the Seahawks offense. Seattle also seems to be getting their feet wet as well. They were in unfamiliar territory last season when they missed the playoffs for the first time since 2011.

Seattle has also lost quite a bit of their defense. No Kam Chancellor, Richard Sherman, Michael Bennett, or Cliff Avril. Quite a bit of playmakers have left since the last time these two teams faced off.

What can we expect from the Seattle Seahawks this season? We have Lee Vowell from FanSided’s 12th Man Rising to give us a little insight.
