The NFL is finally back, and the Denver Broncos will be facing the Seattle Seahawks Sunday afternoon. Denver will win their season opener and here is why.

I am beyond excited that Denver Broncos football is finally back. It’s been a long eight months since the disastrous 2017 season that featured three different starting quarterbacks, none of which are still with the team.

The beauty of the NFL though, is that every team (unless you’re last year’s Cleveland Browns) has hope and excitement entering the new year.

Fans of the Denver Broncos are no different. After an exciting offseason that saw Denver make a flurry of moves, John Elway has this team ready to compete for a Super Bowl. Meanwhile, Sunday’s opposing team, the Seattle Seahawks, appears to be heading in the wrong direction.

The legendary Legion of Boom is dead. This incredible Seahawks defense that wiped the floor with the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 48 is also dead. Only three starters remain from that tenacious defense.

While roster attrition isn’t unusual for any teams, the manner in which the roster imploded over the last two years has been a sight to see especially for Bronco fans that are still bitter over the Super Bowl embarrassment.

Each of these teams truly looks completely different from the two teams that were consistently in the Super Bowl conversation from 2012-2015, but fortunately for the Broncos, different isn’t bad.

This team is ready to compete this year, and it starts Sunday against Russell Wilson and the Seahawks.

Here are three reasons why the Denver Broncos will win their season opener.
