Key Matchups

Case Keenum vs Seattle Seahawks Secondary

Keenum has a tall task ahead of him in his first start with the Denver Broncos. The secondary of Seattle is not as daunting as the Legion of Boom. However, Earl Thomas is still lurking out there. If Keenum can take advantage and get the football downfield, it should be a solid game for him.

Broncos Front Seven vs. Russell Wilson

Defensive linemen and linebackers against Wilson? An odd matchup, if it was any non-mobile quarterback. History has shown that Denver has their struggles with mobile quarterbacks. Russell Wilson has the abilities to run with the football and do it well. While Denver can contain Cam Newton, Russell Wilson is a different story. Look for Von Miller to be the man with the task at spying Wilson.

X-Factors

Bradley Roby

With the departure of Aqib Talib this offseason, Roby has been given the reigns of starting cornerback opposite of Chris Harris Jr. Roby is in the final year of his rookie contract. It will be up to him if he can be the cornerback of the future for the No Fly Zone. Will he be up to the task of taking that next step?

Earl Thomas

As stated earlier, it was thought that Thomas would not be playing. Now that it is likely he will be suiting up, Case Keenum will have to be on watch. Earl Thomas has the abilities to change a football game in an instant. We saw his big hits throughout his career. Broncos wide outs will have to tread carefully when running routes in the middle of the field.
