Are you looking to purchase a new Denver Broncos jersey for 2018, but not sure which player to choose? Here are the top five new ones to consider…
The Denver Broncos set their 53-man roster, updated the depth chart, and a bunch of players got new jersey numbers.
Now that these players are pretty much locked in for the season, it’s time for Broncos Country to make some new jersey purchases to represent some of these new players.
If we were putting together a list of the top five Broncos jerseys to own, the obvious picks would include an old-school John Elway jersey, Terrell Davis, or virtually anyone from those great teams in the 80s and 90s. Retro jerseys are always cool for gamedays and to be honest, they’re also a lot safer than buying new players’ jerseys.

There are exceptions like franchise cornerstone Von Miller and his number 58 jersey, which should be owned by every Broncos fan at this point. Other players on that list could include Chris Harris Jr., Derek Wolfe, Demaryius Thomas, and maybe even someone like Emmanuel Sanders.
Other players, Broncos fans might be too late on to get a jersey.
If you haven’t been rocking a Shaquil Barrett number 48 jersey for a couple of years already, you shouldn’t go invest in one now because he might leave via free agency after the season. If he gets re-signed, that jersey is a no-brainer.
There are others right in the middle, like Justin Simmons’ number 31 jersey. He’s only two years into his rookie contract and he looks like a budding star at the safety position, but those two years left on his contract leave a lot up to chance.
Still, having a Simmons jersey is a great way to impress a fellow die-hard fan, though most people probably have no idea who he is.
They will soon enough.
Which Broncos jerseys should fans be seriously considering buying right now? There are some specific criteria for this, including years left on a player’s contract, staying power, the likelihood they will succeed, and how cool the jersey looks as a whole.
No offense to the offensive linemen, but it’s borderline impossible to look cool walking around in a jersey in the 60s or 70s.
Let’s take a look at the top five Broncos jerseys that should be on your radar right now for purchase, as well as one honorable mention.
