The Denver Broncos announced their six team captains for the season, including new quarterback Case Keenum and linebacker Von Miller.

The Denver Broncos have not only set their 2018 opening day roster, they have now announced the six players that will represent the team as captains.

All six players were voted captains by their teammates, some for the first time in their NFL careers and some for the first time as Denver Broncos.

The Broncos released this epic photo of their team captains on the team’s official Twitter account:

Let’s take a look at each one of the Broncos’ captains in 2018.

Offense

Case Keenum, QB

The Broncos signed Keenum to a two-year, $36 million contract this offseason and he’s quickly become one of the most respected players on the team. As a matter of fact, Keenum’s veteran presence has helped drastically change the culture of the Broncos as a whole.

It’s no surprise the veteran quarterback was voted a team captain. This one was probably unanimous among his teammates. Keenum is running the show in Denver and is doing so for the first time in his NFL career at any of his previous stops.

Matt Paradis, C

For the first time in his NFL career, the ‘C’ next to Matt Paradis’ name doesn’t just stand for the position that he plays.

Paradis, entering a contract year with the team that drafted him in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL Draft, has earned a great deal of respect in Denver and the NFL in general for not missing a single game over the past three seasons, despite battling through injury.

Defense

Von Miller, LB

Von Miller is a six-time Pro Bowl selection, Super Bowl MVP, future Denver Broncos Ring of Famer, and future Hall of Famer.

Any questions?

Todd Davis, LB

Over the past two seasons, no Denver Broncos player has more tackles than Todd Davis. Davis signed a three-year contract with the Broncos this offseason after there were rumors he would be taking a big deal in free agency.

Davis is a first-time captain with the Broncos.

Special Teams

Andy Janovich, FB

It’s been said that a team including 22 ‘Janos’ would be a coach’s dream. The Broncos are going to do their best to maximize what they have in Andy Janovich this year, now entering his third season with a team.

Janovich is probably one of the quietest captains on the Broncos, but he’s a leader by example, consistently doing his job extremely well.

How the Broncos acquired their 53-man roster. dark. Next

Brandon McManus, K

Brandon McManus has slowly become one of the longest-tenured players on the Denver Broncos’ roster. He’s entering his fifth season with the team and was arguably the offensive MVP when the Broncos won Super Bowl 50 and went on the run they did.

Without McManus that year, who knows what might have happened?

He is coming off of a down year but looks locked in after a phenomenal preseason.
