Defensive Line (6, 30/53)

Kept: Derek Wolfe, Domata Peko, Adam Gotsis, Zach Kerr, DeMarcus Walker, Shelby Harris
Cut: Clinton McDonald, Kyle Peko, DeShawn Williams, DeQuinton Osborne, Caushaud Lyons, Antonio Simmons

All offseason, I’ve been mentally preparing for the Broncos to keep seven defensive linemen.

Now, instead of that happening on the active roster, it’s likely going to happen on the practice squad with either Kyle Peko or DeShawn Williams, or maybe both.

The Broncos’ decision to cut Clinton McDonald is not entirely surprising given his injury struggles over the course of the offseason, but he did make some nice plays throughout the preseason.

Again, this is just all part of the overall numbers game. The Broncos wanted to keep nine offensive linemen and three quarterbacks, so tough decisions have to be made.

This is still one of the deepest groups on the roster.
