Linemen: Austin Fleer (OT), DeShawn Williams (DL)

To fill out the offensive line and have five starters and five ‘backups’, the Broncos are almost undoubtedly going to try and put an offensive tackle on the practice squad.

The backup offensive line, in this case, would go — from left to right — Austin Fleer, Max Garcia, Sam Jones, Elijah Wilkinson, and Billy Turner.

Fleer would be the practice squad player here and the Broncos showed their interest in developing him when they claimed him off of waivers.

Fleer is a rookie undrafted free agent out of Colorado Mesa, whom the Broncos hosted at their local pro day. He obviously chose not to sign in Denver right after the NFL Draft but might find a home in Denver as a developmental tackle.

DeShawn Williams was the best defensive lineman on the team that didn’t earn a roster spot, in my opinion. He has been a preseason star for the Bengals in the past but has failed to make the same type of impact in the regular season as he has in the preseason.

If the Broncos are able to sneak him onto the preseason, he would be a phenomenal player to have ‘on call’, especially after Clinton McDonald didn’t pan out as a free agent acquisition.
