Denver Broncos: Final 53-man roster prediction
Running Backs: Devontae Booker, Royce Freeman, De’Angelo Henderson, Phillip Lindsay, Andy Janovich. (7/53)
One of the most exciting positions to pay attention to for Denver is the running back position.
There have been some great battles for the Broncos at running back and it looks like the team has found a couple of gems.
Rookie Royce Freeman has done an outstanding job in his first preseason in the league. It looks like he has locked up the starting running back job.
Freeman was drafted in the third round of the 2018 draft to replace the former starter, CJ Anderson.
When Anderson was released and Freeman was drafted, I initially thought that the Broncos would go into the season with a running back-by-committee approach.
Freeman has made me believe, like everybody else, that he will go into the season as the top back.
Lindsay is a special player. He has uses his tremendous speed to avoid defenders and is able to catch the ball when thrown at him.
He also has the ability to play special teams. He’s not just a one trick pony. He’s an all-around true football player.
Henderson has looked very good, especially in the final preseason game against Arizona. With extensive work, he’s impressed me and deserves to be on the final roster.
Devontae Booker did not play in the final preseason game, which is a good sign for him. It looks like he has made the final roster, as the team primarily played guys who were a question mark to make the team.
