John Diarse, WR

One wide receiver who has impressed a bit more than others near the bottom of the roster is John Diarse.

Diarse has strong hands and earlier this offseason, I wrote that his style of play reminded me somewhat of Anquan Boldin.

I’m not trying to anoint him the next Boldin, don’t misread that. All I am saying is that Diarse has a physicality about him and very strong hands which got him some praise and increased reps at training camp.

In the preseason, however, Diarse has not stood out as much as he did in practices.

He had a chance to help the Broncos score a late touchdown against the Chicago Bears, but couldn’t haul it in. Even if he makes some big plays versus Arizona, I do not feel like the Broncos are in danger of losing him to another team.

This is a talented player who could be kept on the practice squad and called up at some point.
