Isaiah McKenzie, WR/PR

The Broncos face a very interesting decision coming up with Isaiah McKenzie.

Based on pure athletic ability, it’s highly unlikely McKenzie would pass through waivers if the Broncos tried to sneak him to the practice squad, but you never know.

In the team’s first preseason game, it looked like McKenzie may have sealed up a roster spot with a punt return for a touchdown, but then he fumbled to essentially end the game against Chicago in week two.

In week three, McKenzie didn’t really do anything to create any separation for his roster spot.

He is certainly fighting for one of the bottom 53 spots but if McKenzie takes another punt back for a touchdown, are the Broncos not going to justify that WR6 spot for him?

He’s under immense pressure as he has failed to create enough separation at the wide receiver position. He’s going to have to prove that he’s irreplaceable as a punt returner to make the active roster.
