De’Angelo Henderson, Dave Williams — RB

The Broncos have a really interesting situation brewing at running back.

The preseason broadcast crew of Steve Levy and Brian Griese revealed that in their conversations with the team, the Broncos expressed they would like to keep five backs including Andy Janovich.

This puts the team in a pickle because with six backs on the roster currently, one talented player is going to be the odd man out.

Will that be 2017 preseason darling De’Angelo Henderson? Will it be the Broncos’ seventh-round pick Dave Williams?

Could it be that 2016 fourth-round pick and current depth chart number one Devontae Booker? That seems pretty unlikely at this point.

The ideal situation for Denver would be to stash Dave Williams on the practice squad and keep Henderson on the 53-man roster, but how does that affect the rest of the roster?

There are reports coming in that teams have already been expressing interest in Henderson should he be a victim of the Broncos’ depth, but cutting him with what he’s shown he can do would be a mistake.
