Good: David Williams

The running back position for the Denver Broncos has been quite a battle. One player that has seemed to be forgotten is this year’s seventh round draft selection out of Arkansas.

Granted, we have not seen a lot of what he can do in the first two preseason games, he performed well in the dress rehearsal game. He recorded six carries for 19 yards. The average of those carries was 3.2 yards. Not very flashy numbers for a running back.

However, he did have a solid performance as a pass catcher. He only caught three passes. But made the most of them with 46 yards. His biggest gain through the air was on a 22 yard catch.

The future could be bright for him. However, I would like to see a bit more from him in the final preseason game before I give a definite answer on his spot with the Denver Broncos.

Depending on a variety of factors, I believe that Williams will likely end up on the practice squad once the final cuts take place. However, he does have a bright future ahead of him. Look for him to get a solid amount of carries during the final preseason game.
