One roster battle with jobs on the line is the running back position.

Looking at the Broncos’ running back spot prior to the start of training camp, it was clearly one of the most talented but unproven groups on the team.

One player whose potential has tantalized the fans since last year’s preseason games is 2017 sixth-round pick De’Angelo Henderson, who has done nothing so far this preseason like what he did last year.

Unless the Broncos decide to do something a little more surprising and cut Devontae Booker (that is a possibility as well), someone between Henderson and rookie David Williams is going to get let go.

Henderson was, unfortunately, a victim of reckless driving this offseason, and escaped what could have been a much worse situation with relatively minor injuries.

He’s struggled to get any momentum going through the first couple of preseason games, however, and needs to show the coaching staff why he’s worth a spot on the 53-man roster at a position where competition is currently stiff.
