Linebacker (3, 40/53)

Brandon Marshall, Todd Davis, Josey Jewell

Cut: Keishawn Bierria, Alexander Johnson, Zaire Anderson, Joseph Jones, Bo Bower

This would be one of the bigger shockers on cut day if the Broncos keep just three off-ball (traditional) linebackers.

There are obviously a lot of them on the roster right now, and the team hasn’t shied away from prioritizing this position in the past.

I think the toughest cut on here could be Zaire Anderson, but the Broncos also obviously think very highly of Bierria and Johnson.

Both of those players might be under consideration for practice squad spots as this is a very violent position and the Broncos would need to have depth somewhere, if even in an emergency scenario.

The team is likely to use safeties more in ‘linebacker’ roles this year, so as tough as this would be to do, it’s not terribly unlikely.
