Offensive Line (9, 25/53)
Garett Bolles, Ron Leary, Matt Paradis, Connor McGovern, Jared Veldheer, Cyrus Kouandjio, Billy Turner, Sam Jones, Max Garcia
Cut: Jeremiah Poutasi, Elijah Wilkinson, Andreas Knappe, Austin Fleer, J.J. Dielman, Austin Schlottman
The Broncos actually have good depth on the offensive line this year.
Cyrus Kouandjio has been phenomenal at left tackle this preseason and aside from a few whiffs here and there, I’ve been very pleased with what we’ve seen from Max Garcia and Billy Turner compared to last year.
Is it necessary to keep nine offensive linemen? Probably not. The Broncos could trade someone like Turner or Garcia if they wanted to because they have guys who can play multiple positions in Kouandjio — who started week 17 last season at right tackle — or Sam Jones who was a left guard in college and has been working as the backup center.
The Broncos have been getting Garcia reps at both guard and center (which he played in college) and could be positioning him for a trade. If they choose to keep four tight ends, it would make sense for them to keep just eight offensive linemen and stash one or two on the practice squad.
