The Broncos have some difficult roster decisions all over the place, but the wide receiver position, particularly for that sixth and final spot, is going to be a tough one to determine and it might come down to the last week of the preseason.

Despite his major struggles a season ago, Isaiah McKenzie remains one of the team’s most dynamic athletes.

Here are a couple of reasons I can see the Broncos being very likely to keep McKenzie on the active roster.

First and foremost, River Cracraft would likely go to the practice squad and be on-call if need be.

Second, the team still has Jordan Taylor rehabbing from hip surgery and if McKenzie struggles, they’ll be able to bring Taylor back at some point and easily swap him out on the roster.

McKenzie can make the roster as WR6 and still be on a short leash.

I don’t think there’s any question about the top five spots at this point, but the WR6 competition is heating up. John Diarse is another sleeper candidate there.
