Running Back (5, 7/53)

Devontae Booker, Royce Freeman, Phillip Lindsay, De’Angelo Henderson, Andy Janovich (FB)

Cut: David Williams

This list still has some time to change, but the broadcast crew of Brian Griese and Steve Levy did reveal during the Broncos’ preseason game against the Chicago Bears that the team intends to keep five running backs.

With that being the case, one of these talented young players is going to be the odd man out, and right now, the player with the best chance of sneaking onto the practice squad is David Williams, the Broncos’ seventh-round pick out of Arkansas.

Unless Williams balls out in one of the final two preseason games (it will have to be week four), this seems like a pretty safe bet.

There’s no way Phillip Lindsay is clearing waivers, nor would the Broncos even try it at this point

De’Angelo Henderson hasn’t shown as much this preseason as he did last year, but he’s still very talented and the Broncos need to get him fully healthy. He hasn’t seemed himself.
