Week one is right around the corner. We take a look at the strength of schedule for the Denver Broncos and the rest of the AFC West.

There is no such thing as an easy game or an easy schedule for the Denver Broncos or anywhere in the National Football League, but there certainly are teams that have to play a harder overall schedule than others. The AFC West looks to once again be one of the toughest divisions in football, with intense rivalries and some of the most notorious home field advantages in football.

The Broncos will be staying out west for a majority of the season, with it being the NFC West’s turn to play the AFC West in interconference play.

While it may be a bit arbitrary to try and pick which division is going to be the easiest draw so early in the season, it looks safe to say the NFC West might be just that in 2018. Even with the emergence of the Los Angeles Rams, we still don’t know a whole lot about how the rest of the teams in that division are going to pan out.

As the Broncos learned during their five-year run at the top of the division, it isn’t easy to have continued success with the NFL scheduling pattern of pairing the corresponding finishers from each division. This year, the Kansas City Chiefs will be tasked with playing against all four of the AFC’s reigning division champions and the Broncos will play all four last-place finishers.

After taking a look at all four teams schedules, here is how I have them stacked up.
